First Expensive Baby Purchase

Jarrett and I ventured to BRU over the weekend on a mission to purchase our travel system. We've decided that if we purchase one bigger item a month, it won't seem like we're spending so much money towards the end of the pregnancy. We went with our/my heart set on the stripped and polka dotted pattern below, but after a long discussion at BRU with sales associates, Heidi and us, we opted for a cheaper version just below.

The three difference between the set we went to buy and the one we actually bought: 1. The one we bought was about $40 cheaper, the set we liked holds a baby up to 32 pounds and the one we bought holds up to 22lbs. After much discussion we learned that baby's tend to outgrow the infant seat in height first, not weight 3. The fabric on the one we bought will be easier to clean, more of a nylon material, the other was a microsuede (sp).

Instead of fronting the money for the one we liked we opted to save it since we'll have to buy a convertible seat around 4-6 months for the baby. Hopefully, he/she will be a shorty and not big so we can get by with the infant seat longer, if not, we at least saved some money buy getting the cheaper one!

Jarrett of course didn't LIKE the one we bought, but rather liked the black and grey one below, which was the same price as the one we bought. I guess at some point I mentioned that I had let him make all the decision on everything Baby related that we had bought, so he kindly bit his tongue and let me buy the stroller/infant seat that I wanted..... I just didn't think that a baby girl would want a black and grey stroller!!!

I also realized that there are too many damn choices relating to EVERYTHING BABY. At one point during our trip to BRU I was ready to start crying. So many choices, so many unknowns, too much for an emotional pregnant woman to handle.

I haven't had an emotional breakdown yet, but I do know two things: 1. it's definitely going to happen, I just don't know when and 2. I've been a raging BITCH for the past few weeks. I can't help it, no matter what Jarrett says or does, I jump down his throat. I know it as soon as I do it, but can't stop. Hopefully, he understands and hopefully it will pass soon!

Went to Buy This Set
Ended up buying this set.

Jarrett liked this set best.

Very Nice I Like the colors. I agree there are too many choices and save all the money you can you will need it for the 20 diaper changes a day when they are tiny.
