Transport Continued

Dear Carol B and all the transporters that helped bring Savana to me:

I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making it possible for me to rescue Savana. The moment I met her last night I fell TOTALLY in love with her – Debbie, who did the last leg of the transport can verify that – I couldn’t wipe the huge smile off my face! She is all that I imagined she’d be, so sweet – I call her my mini lab – she looks lust like a lab but about 1/3 the size!

When I first saw her picture on Pet Finder via a Labrador retriever rescue forum I frequent, there was something about her that drew me to her, she looked so sweet (and so scared). I never thought it would be possible for me to get her up this far north (over 750 miles!), fortunately someone on the forum had Carol B’s e-mail address, and the rest is history. It is very heartwarming to know that there are such caring people like all of you that are willing to spend there time, not to mention money (for gas) to do such a kind thing and help out our “best friends”. I want to especially thank Rhonda for pulling Savana from the shelter and keeping her overnight, then driving her to Calhoun, that was an amazing thing for you to do (I spent a lot of time worrying about that part of it)! Also, Carol B, I can’t even imagine how much time you had to put into coordinating this huge transport, it boggles my mind – I am so grateful to you, you are truly an angel God put on earth to help our fur kids!

Well, that’s all for now – I’ve got to go play with my girl! Oh, by the way, Savana gets along great with my 100 lb. yellow lab (Dolly) – they’ve been playing like crazy, they’re finally laying down next to me right now.

Thanks again to all of you!

Gail and Savana
